Josephine Sowden (Photographic Art graduate) says that she may not enter the National Eisteddfod competition again because of a rule stating that only the Welsh language may be used. This is after she won last year’s competition with a video peace filmed in English.
Josephine Sowden won the £5,000 prize with her video piece, The Lilies of the Field, at the Lle Celf.
The rules of the Competition state that any original words in the entered art works must be in Welsh, unless they are direct quotations.
