Leaving the Building: Graduate Exhibition

Leaving the Building is the 2014 graduate show for BA(Hons) Photographic Art students at the University of South Wales. It is an expansive exhibition in the Newport City Campus, featuring a wide variety of differing contemporary approaches to photography and other lens based media. Join us for the Private View on Thursday 5th June, 6.00pm-8.30pm to celebrate the considerable achievements of this years graduating cohort.

The show will then run from Friday 6th June, 9am through to Thursday 12th June, 5pm Close.

This years stunning publication ‘Leaving the Building’, will also be available to purchase at both the Private View and throughout the duration of the show.

Leaving the Building: 2014 Graduate Website

To coincide with an exhibition of the same name, this year’s photoart graduate website, Leaving the Building, designed by final year photoart student Oliver Norcott, has just gone live. The publication pdf download will be available from Friday 30th May, when we will also be launching the physical book at 4 locations from a mobile library.

Harry Rose (third year photoart student) has released a beautifly crafted, self published book titled In the Company of an Invisible Man.

Labour Exchange: Magali Nougarède and Sarah Taylor

Magali Nougarède (Senior Lecturer, Photographic Art) in collaboration with painter Sarah Taylor have an exhibition opening on Friday 23rd May at Bay Art Gallery in Cardiff Bay. The opening starts at 5.30pm. There is also an “In Conversation” event with Nougarède and Taylor, chaired by Helen Sear on the same day at 3.45pm.
