This is a static archive of USWphotoart, the blog for BA (Hons) Photographic Art at the University of South Wales, Caerleon Campus, Newport. The blog ran from 2013 to 2015.
It is not current, and it does not speak for the university. It is preserved as a record of the course and the work made on it.
How it was rebuilt
The original site ran on WordPress. The site files survived in a 2021 backup, but the database did not, and WordPress keeps all post text in the database. The posts here were recovered from the Internet Archive.
Of roughly 79 posts, 61 were recovered in full. Eleven have no capture of any kind and their text is lost. Three survive only as a title and an image. Four were duplicate web addresses for posts that are present.
The photographs and publications come from the original backup, so they are the files the site served. Fourteen images missing from that backup were recovered from the Internet Archive.
The page layout, the stylesheet and the theme are the originals.
What does not work
The search box, the comment feeds and the login link needed a server and a database. They are left in place so the page looks as it did, but they do nothing.
Comments are not preserved.
